                           HORSE BREEDS

                               Appaloosa

                

                                     Appaloosas are known for their distinctive 
                        spotted coat. They originated from America.
                        Their average height is 17.2 hands



                                   Thoroughbred

                     
                        Thoroughbreds are mainly used for          
                        racing. They originate from England.
                        They range from about 5.2 to 17.0
                         hands.                  


                             Connemara pony

               Connemara Pony
                         Connemara ponies are used as a                                                           sports horse. They originated in 
                          Ireland. They range between 13 
                           and 15 hands.


                                                    Shetland pony

                            
                Shetland ponies are known for their 
                     intelligence. They originated from 
                     Scotland.  Their height ranges 
                     between 7.0 and 11.0 hands.



                                    Mustang 

                          Mustang (American Wild Horse)
                       Mustangs are free roaming horses. 
                       They originated from Spain. Their                                                       average height is about 15 hands.
